Lophiodes abdituspinus Ni, Wu et Li, sp. nov. D. II(I)，8; A. 6;P. 16;V. 1-5;C.8.The species is distinguished from L.infrabruneus Smith et Radcliffe by having unbifid strong Numeral spine and very short third dorsal spine oampletely imbedded within skin. Holotype, D--2583，215mm SL. collected from 20°22'N, 115°52'E-20°22'05"N，115°57'05"E，at 665-649m, an April 1，1981，end deposited at the South China Sea Fisheries Research Institute.
